Today was spent packing and making cookies. I made banana cookies which were super good. I plan to spend tomorrow packing until I collapse. I really want to get it all done so I can spend my next week doing fun things with my friends and family. I have been really happy lately. I’m not sure why things seem so good right now but they do. I’m finally starting to feel better and have more energy which is great because I have about a trillion things to do.

swing it right February 25, 2007
Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon in bed resting because I am still trying to recover from being sick. I have always loved recipe cards and boxes so I decided to create some of my own. I also fixed up an old box which I’ll post a photo of later.
I also did a little shopping and picked up a larger box that comes with a card holder and some of Boygirlparty’s adorable recipe cards.
Now I just need to start cooking more.

I spent most of today asleep. I unforunately caught some sort of illness that feels like I was hit by a large truck that preceeded to circle the block only to hit me again. I watched a few episodes of Seinfeld and a really really terrible movie called Dreamland. I am really hoping that I feel better tomorrow because I have to show my replacement around at work. I can’t believe that tomorrow is my last day. Time is flying by.
I really want to get a charm bracelet.

Today was the last day of my mini vacation so tomorrow it is back to work. I spent it by going shopping with my mom all afternoon. We went to Target and a little yarn store. I also started to pack the stuff in my room. I’ve only managed to fill 3 boxes because I keep getting distracted looking at things. I can’t help but read my books and look through old stuff. I’m trying to get rid of things which is really really hard for me. Not much else exciting to write about so I’ll just post some photos.

If there is one thing I believe I will never be good at it is dressing up. I’m ok when its casual summer time dress up such as a cotton skirt and maybe some high heels. The problems occur when pantyhose are involved and the need to look presentable. I have always felt like a failure when it comes to this.
Today I attended a viewing and had about 20 minutes to get dressed for it and oh boy if I didn’t jump in and out of 6 or so outfits. I just can’t seem to put together a “dressed up” look. I settled on these incredibly uncomfortable black pants with a black sweater and these ugly pointy shoes. I purchased the ugly shoes myself when I must have been a completely different person. Sometimes when I look at the clothes in closet I think who was this person that picked this out?!
When I was younger I always thought that one day I would turn into a put together person like the older people in my life such as my sister. That one day I would also have a perfect little perfume tray on my dresser and long fingernails. I don’t think this day is ever going to happen for me. I think I will always have a dresser covered in weird things such as old altoids tins that I need to find uses for someday. I’m ok with that I guess.
I made some new pouches today.
I love this new fabric. I plan to spend a large chunk of my time tomorrow sewing. I’m going to need a lot of coffee in the morning.

oh me oh my February 16, 2007
Today was a lazy day, I feel as if I’m on vacation. I finally left the house today for a short period of time, which is always good. I had to take my car into the shop to get new brakes. I attempted to do my taxes and failed miserably. Tomorrow I plan to start the daunting task of packing. I need to go scavenge for boxes first.
I have big plans tomorrow to accomplish 2 sewing projects. I am finally going to finish making the cape I’ve been meaning to make for weeks and a top from a built by wendy pattern I just bought. I hope they both go well. I also plan on a little cooking. I really want to make this:
I have also been wanting to make one of these fake plaster cakes for a long time and I think I’m going to attempt it tomorrow finally. I’m going to make a strawberry one with strinkles. I will then be on the look out for a cake stand at very thrift store I go to in the future.

Valentine Rockets February 13, 2007
I didn’t have to really work very much today which is always nice. I got caught up on larger orders and watched some pretty bad movies. I haven’t heard back yet about my apartment but it has only been 24 hours since I faxed the application. My fingers have been crossed all day.
So I guess we are supposed to get a blizzard or something in the day or two. I really hope we do. I could use a few more days to catch up on sewing and I really want to play in the snow with my dogs.
