WD-40 is a miracle worker. I was so extremely frustrated with my ikea furniture I was considering the use of heavyduty toxic glues in place of the screws that would no longer move. I tried so hard to screw them in the previous night that I woke up with bruises on the palms of my hands and it hurt to make a fist. I wasn’t sure where to find the glue but thought the drug store might have some because the drugstores here to seem to carry just about everything including extension cords and alarm clocks. While browsing the glue section I spotted the WD-40 and thought I’d give it a try since the vice grip pliers I had purchased earlier didn’t work. Well after a liberal spraying I was finally able to put it together. Well except for the last piece because Ikea forgot to deliver that. Hopefully that will arrive in the next couple of days.
I was feeling a little frustrated today and not just with furniture so I went exploring again and had a good time. I returned to the thrift stores and found some fabric and a ton of embroidery hoops. I also finally got a copy of the Reader’s Digest Complete book of Needlecraft, something I have wanted for some time.
Tomorrow I might go down to the DMV and get my washington license. I’m considering using a Flex car. I need to be able to explore the city a little more and maybe make a trip to Jo Ann Fabrics. There are about 10 cars in my neighborhood. I hope I can drive in this city. I’m also planning a trip to the bookstore and the art supply store to get some paint.
