where do the whale bones go? June 24, 2007

The days of June have been flying by much to quick. Last week was a whirl-win of fun. I landed in NJ on Thursday night and did so much fun stuff I don’t know where to begin so here is a list of highlights:

+ Swimming

+ Eating every boardwalk food imaginable

+ Going to the Beach

+ Hanging out with friends

+ Renegade being awesome

+ Hot weather

+ Family

+ Fairy Tale Forest

+ watermelon

+ Fabric Store

+ Dairy Queen

It was definitely a fun vacation and it still isn’t over as I am spending the next 12 days in good old Pennsylvania. I wish I could post all the great photos I took but I didn’t know I’d be gone for so long and I didn’t bring my camera cord.

you can’t buy a gun when you’re crying June 10, 2007

This last week went by so quickly. I have spent the majority of it sitting at my sewing table making stuff for Renegade. (If anyone reads this that lives in Brooklyn please come out to the show and say hello)

my week in numbers:

36 number of strawberry oreos I ate this week

7 number of white thread spools I used

579,794 number of times I injured myself with a needle

8 number of zits I’m getting due to a mixture of work sweat and worry

4 number of days until I leave and get to have a mini vacation full of fun

Secretly I’m enjoying every minute of it because I absolutlely love to make things. This next week will be even more exciting when I fly out to NJ and get to go to Brooklyn and the ocean and my hometown and my friends and my family and my dogs. I can’t wait! Although spending the week swimming would be nice too. Especially here….

they all look just the same June 1, 2007

I have been sewing all week long. So many new items. With only 2 weeks left until I leave for Renegade I want to be prepared as possible. I haven’t been out doing much just eat. sew. eat. sleep. I did however go on my first ferry boat ride this week. Which was so much fun. I visited the best fabric store and walked around in the sunshine all afternoon. The weather has been absolutely wonderful and warm all week. It felt really good to get out of the city and walk around in the woods.
