Where has the time been disappearing to lately. I can’t believe tomorrow is going to Sunday again. I finally got a job interview this week! It is on Monday and I’m nervous because I really want this job. I hope it works out. I have been busy sewing and preparing for having overstock for shows once I start working full time.

I’ve been going through a bit of a ebay phase. I am obsessed with vintage pyrex and cake stands. I need to stop bidding. I’ve already won 2 pyrex polka dot bowls which I am beyond excited to receive in the mail.

I went on a trip today to Target. I love Target but the one in Seattle always looks like a tornado just hit it. I still found some cute new shirts and a dress. While I was waiting to try on my clothes I witnessed a poor guy sitting outside of the waiting room for his girlfriend to come show him outfits she might possibly buy. He looked ready to smash his hand into a bright red shopping cart and put himself out of his misery.

After Target I wondered down the street in Lake City and found a fabric store called Pacific Fabrics. It was wonderful and full of so many great fabrics. Dare I say it might even beat Joann fabrics. It had a garment section, vintage fabrics, designer fabrics, and a huge selection of home fabrics. I spent a good deal of time browsing. I got a little sick on the ride back to the city partly due to the fact that I was in a bus with 900 other people during rush hour. I need to plan my trips around high traffic times.

I gave my new tray a fresh coat of spray paint. I absolutely love it. I think I am going to put it in my hallway to set my keys, purse and mail on because anyone who knows me will be able to tell you I misplace these items often. I love both of these new spray paint colors. I’m hoping to win an an ebay sale on 2 syroco hummingbirds that I want to spray paint and hang in the kitchen. I better go check on that auction now.

So I spray painted my new TV tray and it looks great! I love it. It is incredible how quickly spray paint can transform something. I think I might go back tomorrow and get the other one. You know for guests. Ha. So I have been browsing around the internet as usual and have found so many new things I wish I could get.

I never wear necklaces much but I think its just because I don’t really have many. I love this one though.

I really like this one with the blue glass. So pretty…

I also have been obsessed with this beautiful website. This is my favorite.

I also have had my eye on these adorable Camper shoes. I tried them on the other day. Most comfortable shoes but so pricey. I need a money tree.

Today went by super fast. I’ve been thinking about having a little dinner party sometime soon. I don’t have a kitchen table which proves to be a small problem but I thought perhaps I would serve homemade pizza, smores, and champagne. All foods that can be consumed around while sitting on a floor. Like an indoor picnic. Classy.

Tomorrow my plans are a trip to Target, the used bookstore, and job patrol as usual.

I want these tissue paper pom poms! I want to hang them in my apartment. Today I went to Value Village and got an old TV tray for $1. I’m going to repaint it tomorrow. I don’t have room in my apartment for a kitchen table so I thought this would be great for eating in the living room.

Last night I was getting in bed and noticed on of the corners seemed a bit lower. It turned out the leg holding that corner had fallen off. You really have to appreciate cheap furniture. So tonight I attempted to fix it but realized I couldn’t but I did have a chance to look through all my old journals under the bed. They are so funny to read!  I also found all my old photographs. I can’t believe I had blonde hair as a toddler. Strange.

I bought a folding table today. I am going to use it as my cutting table most days and as a show table when needed. I don’t have many shows coming up and would really like to plan more for the future. I really want to go down to Texas in November and sell at Stitch just because it looks like so much fun. I also want to go down to Portland on the train and sell at Crafty Wonderland, maybe in September. I was looking for hotels and found this one right by the show, its called Jupiter. It looks really neat and the price isn’t bad either.

I saw Ryan Adams last night at the Moore Theater , it was an enjoyable show. We went out afterwards to get cocktails, I got a delicious mango mojito. I was lazy today and spent the morning trying to learn some CSS and messing around with my website. I hope to redesign it a bit in the next month.

Today was another day of job searching and such. I just wish I could find something that I might actually enjoy doing on a daily basis.

I made the simplest craft ever today, cloth napkins. I’ve been trying to cut down on using paper towels and have started using rags to clean and cloth napkins. I used some 1950’s fabric that I had around. I also wanted to show off some of my awesome birthday presents including a set of Lotta Jansdotter cards, green candy dish, and cupcake making supplies.

I also spent an hour on the martha stewart website which embarrassing as it is to admit I absolutely love. I especially love the projects aimed at children. I want to make that rice krispie cake and some butter soft pretzels in the near future. I love homemade soft pretzels. Perhaps when I get a job I can buy a bread machine.

This week has gone by so fast. Monday was my birthday and I am now 25. It was a fun day that started with a delivery of a dozen cupcakes from Trophy Cupcakes. My mom sent them to me. I spent the rest of the morning opening presents and reading and went out in the evening with friends. I can’t think of a better way to spend a birthday. Tuesday was the first beautiful day in a while and Katie and I took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. We went to the fabric shops and out to lunch. We walked around all afternoon and had a great time.

Today wasn’t such a great day because my bathroom flooded with icky brown water. The person who lives above me fell asleep while they were filling their bathtub! Nothing was really damaged so that is good but it was still a mess and my bathroom light is now broken.

Tomorrow I am going to sew all morning and do a little job searching in the afternoon then it is off to an art opening in a bar only a block away. I love when things are in my neighborhood.

It was a dreary day and I really wasn’t motivated to leave my apartment all afternoon. Which wasn’t bad because the new Harry Potter book was delivered this morning and I started to read it right away. It was a wonderful day to curl up on the couch with tea and read the day away. I also spent some time at the sewing table and made this little bag.

Later that night I went out to get dinner with my friend Kim. We ate crepes which were really delicious. Afterwards we went out for cake and coffee at a nearby cafe. It was a nice time because we had a lot of catching up to do since we last got together and nothing beats chocolate raspberry torte.

Things seem to be turning out better than I thought they would and nothing could make me happier. I saw the Harry Potter movie tonight and I enjoyed it. I can’t wait to get my book tomorrow, I can’t believe it is really the last one.

I went to the thrift store and got a some really good stuff including a new metal hamburger tin. I absolutely love having so many thrift stores here. I think I might like shopping there better because you never know what you will find. Its like entering an old attic filled with abandoned stuff waiting to be found again. I’ll post some photos tomorrow. But for today I will post my best attempt of me as a Simpson character. You can make yours here.

I wish summer would never end. It was beautiful outside today so I walked down to the international district and went to the bookstore. That place is so much fun. On the way home I decided to walk around a bit and look at the shops. I found a park on the way back to my neighborhood. It had a pretty large garden but smelled awful like cow poop. I love that there are so many random gardens scattered around Seattle.

Tomorrow I plan to apply to a few more jobs and work on some sewing patterns I’ve been wanting to make.
